Normal Pronation:  foot pronation occurring when the ipsilateral hip is internally rotating (Photos).

Abnormal Foot Motion

  • From Foot Flat to Midstance, the foot (subtalar joint) is pronating (due to the pull of Gravity on the Primus Metatarsus Supinatus foot).  The forefoot remains unlocked.  At Toe Off the foot is unstable (loose bag of bones syndrome).
